Swan Hill Bridge, VIC
Built in 1896, the Swan Hill Bridge is a timber truss and steel centre lift-span bridge over the Murray River at Swan Hill. The bridge is of considerable historical significance due to its associations with engineer Percy Allan, who influenced bridge design throughout Australia.
In 2008, Waco Kwikform provided scaffolding equipment and services to allow essential maintenance work on the bridge. Safety for worksite staff and commuters, and prevention of damage to this historic bridge were the two main objectives; both comfortably achieved.
