Waco Kwikform is a strong supporter of workplace inclusion and diversity.

As part of a commitment to gender equality in the workforce – and encouraging more women into traditional construction and resource sectors – the company has recently employed three female trainees undertaking a Certificate III in Scaffolding.

"This compliments our maintenance workforce as part of our three-year Maintenance, Projects and Shutdowns Contract with South 32 Worsley Alumina, in the South West of Western Australia," explains Waco Kwikform Business Development Manager Darren Gibbon.

"In conjunction with our client, South 32, and our training partner NARA, the trainees will undergo an intensive program that involves extensive on the job training and mentoring, and will also obtain many relevant tickets and skills. All of our employees on-site have enthusiastically embraced this new initiative."

Waco is also in advanced discussions with South 32 to provide a fourth female trainee, who will undergo a two-year crane driving traineeship.

This photo was taken during the traineeship signup, which was attended by South 32, NARA, CCIWA and Waco Kwikform representatives.
