While most Aussies were putting their feet up over the Easter long weekend, a team of scaffolders in Brisbane worked around the clock to erect 336 tonnes of Waco Kwikform scaffolding and 50 tonnes of Waco support beams at the Queen’s Wharf redevelopment site in the city centre.

Scaffolding, gantries and safety hoarding around and below the Margaret Street overpass were installed to prepare the site for hard demolition, which is scheduled to commence in June.

The reinvigorated Queen's Wharf resort precinct will feature a casino, hotels, apartments, 50 new restaurants and bars, a retail quarter and a new pedestrian bridge to South Bank.

Waco is excited to be involved in such an impressive development, which will generate 2000 jobs during the construction phase and 8000 jobs once operational.
